Terms of service
Terms & Conditions
Last updated: July 22, 2026
These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of abbett.com and any related website, content, feature, product, or service operated by Abbett Limited (collectively, the “Services”), and any order you place with us.
In these Terms, “Abbett,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Abbett Limited. “You” and “your” mean the person accessing the Services or purchasing from us.
Please read these Terms carefully before using the Services or placing an order. By using the Services or submitting an order, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
Important: Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified under applicable consumer law.

2. Eligibility and accounts
You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract to place an order. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Services only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for activity carried out through your account. Please notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
We may refuse service, restrict access, suspend an account, or cancel an order where reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, misuse, unlawful conduct, security risks, or a material breach of these Terms. This does not affect rights that have already arisen under an accepted order.
3. Product information
We take reasonable care to describe and display our products accurately. Images are illustrative, and colour or appearance may vary depending on lighting, screen settings, photography, and natural or manufacturing variations.
Jewellery is handcrafted and many products are made to order. Minor differences in measurements, stone placement, metal finish, weight, colour, or other details may occur within normal manufacturing tolerances and do not necessarily constitute a defect.
Products described as “lab-grown,” “laboratory-grown,” or “laboratory-created” contain stones produced in a laboratory rather than mined from the earth. Any grading report applies only to the stone identified in that report and is an independent laboratory opinion, not a guarantee of value or future resale price.
Carat weights, dimensions, and total weights may be approximate unless expressly stated otherwise. Availability, specifications, and designs may change before an order is accepted.
4. Orders and contract formation
Submitting an order is an offer to purchase. An automated order confirmation acknowledges receipt but does not necessarily mean that we have accepted the order. A binding sales contract is formed when we send an express acceptance or dispatch confirmation, or when we dispatch the product, whichever occurs first.
We may decline or cancel an order before acceptance for legitimate reasons, including unavailability, an obvious pricing or description error, suspected fraud, payment failure, delivery restrictions, sanctions or export-control concerns, or an inability to complete a requested customization. If we have taken payment for an order we do not accept, we will refund it to the original payment method.
Please review your product, metal, stone, size, engraving, delivery address, and other selections before submitting the order. Contact us promptly if you discover an error. Changes may not be possible after production begins.
5. Prices, currency, taxes, and payment
The price charged is the price displayed at checkout when you submit your order, subject to correction of an obvious error before acceptance. If we identify an error, we will contact you and give you the choice to proceed at the correct price or cancel for a full refund. We will not require you to pay a price increase after dispatch unless you expressly agreed to it before dispatch.
Displayed currency conversions may be estimates provided for convenience. Your payment provider may apply its own exchange rate or fees. The checkout page will identify the currency in which you will be charged.
Unless stated otherwise, product prices exclude shipping, customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, and similar destination charges. Applicable charges collected by us will be shown at checkout. Charges imposed by a destination authority or carrier may be payable separately by the recipient.
You represent that you are authorized to use the selected payment method. Payment processing is provided by Shopify and other payment providers and may be subject to their terms and fraud-prevention checks.
6. Promotions and sale products
Promotions, coupon codes, gifts, and special offers may have additional terms. Unless expressly stated, offers cannot be combined, have no cash value, and do not apply retrospectively.
A discounted or sale price does not by itself remove mandatory consumer rights. A product will be treated as “Final Sale” only when clearly identified before purchase and only to the extent permitted by applicable law. Rights relating to faulty, damaged, misdescribed, or non-conforming products remain unaffected.
7. Made-to-order, personalized, and custom products
Many Abbett products are made after an order is placed. Products made to your specifications—including engraved, specially resized, altered, or custom-designed products—may be subject to cancellation and return restrictions described in our Refund Policy.
Where applicable law provides a cooling-off or withdrawal right, any statutory exception for genuinely personalized or made-to-specification products will apply only where its legal requirements are met. “Made to order” does not automatically mean that a product is legally personalized.
For custom-design work, you are responsible for reviewing and approving any design, dimensions, inscription, spelling, or rendering sent for approval. Reasonable differences may exist between a digital rendering and a finished handcrafted product.
8. Shipping, delivery, customs, and risk
Production and delivery times are estimates, not guaranteed dates, unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing. Delays may occur because of customization, quality control, carrier operations, customs clearance, severe weather, public holidays, or events outside our reasonable control.
Current shipping destinations, estimated processing times, shipping charges, signature requirements, and customs information are described in our Shipping Policy.
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address and for responding to reasonable carrier or customs requests. If a shipment is returned because the address was incorrect, delivery was refused, the parcel was unclaimed, or destination charges were not paid, we may deduct reasonable, documented, and legally permitted recovery costs from any refund.
Unless you independently arrange a carrier that we did not offer, the risk of loss or damage remains with Abbett until the product comes into the physical possession of you or a person you identified to receive it. This rule applies notwithstanding any inconsistent carrier term and is subject to mandatory applicable law.
Inspect the package promptly after delivery and contact help@abbett.com as soon as reasonably possible if it is lost, damaged, tampered with, or materially incomplete. We may request photographs, packaging, documentation, or cooperation with a carrier investigation.
9. Cancellations, returns, exchanges, and refunds
Eligibility, time limits, authorization procedures, condition requirements, exclusions, return costs, deductions, and refund processing are governed by our Refund Policy. That policy forms part of these Terms.
Our published 30-day return or exchange period applies to eligible products and does not reduce any longer or additional right required by applicable law. Personalized, engraved, resized, altered, worn, damaged, incomplete, or otherwise non-resalable products may be excluded where permitted by law.
Before returning a product, contact us and obtain return instructions and written authorization. Do not send jewellery to an address that has not been confirmed for the return.
Approved refunds are normally issued to the original payment method after the product is received and inspected. We may make only those deductions allowed by the Refund Policy and applicable law.
10. Grading reports and product documentation
If a diamond or gemstone was supplied with an original grading report or certificate, that document must be returned with the product when required under the Refund Policy.
If an original IGI grading report is not returned with an otherwise eligible diamond return, we may charge a documented replacement fee of up to USD 150, where permitted by law. We will notify you before deducting any fee. No fee will be charged if the report was not supplied with the order or if charging it would conflict with mandatory law.
11. Warranty, repairs, and resizing
Any limited warranty or lifetime guarantee is governed by the terms published on our Lifetime Guarantee page. Ring resizing and repair services may also have separate service terms disclosed before the work is authorized.
A warranty does not cover normal wear, accidental damage, loss, theft, improper care, unauthorized alteration, or misuse unless the applicable warranty expressly says otherwise. It does not replace or limit mandatory statutory remedies for faulty or non-conforming goods.
12. Acceptable use
You may use the Services only for lawful personal or business purposes consistent with these Terms. You must not:
- violate applicable law or another person’s rights;
- submit false, fraudulent, misleading, abusive, or malicious information;
- interfere with the security, availability, or operation of the Services;
- introduce malware or attempt unauthorized access;
- scrape or extract content at a scale or in a manner that materially burdens the Services or circumvents technical restrictions; or
- use the Services to facilitate fraudulent resale, payment abuse, or unlawful activity.
Reasonable use of publicly available information for personal comparison shopping is not prohibited. We may, however, reject orders reasonably believed to involve fraud, abusive returns, or unauthorized commercial resale.
13. Intellectual property
The Services and their text, photographs, graphics, designs, logos, video, software, layout, and other content are owned by or licensed to Abbett and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Services for lawful personal use. Except as permitted by law, you may not reproduce, distribute, publicly display, modify, sell, or commercially exploit protected content without prior written permission.
14. Reviews, photographs, and other submissions
If you voluntarily submit a review, photograph, comment, suggestion, or other content (“User Content”), you retain ownership of it but grant Abbett a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to host, reproduce, adapt for formatting, publish, translate, and display it for operating and promoting the Services.
You represent that you have the rights needed to submit the User Content and that it is accurate and lawful. We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law. We will not materially alter the meaning of a customer review and will disclose incentives where required.
15. Third-party services and Shopify
The Services are hosted by Shopify. Shopify and other providers may supply payment, hosting, analytics, communications, delivery, or other functionality. Your use of a third-party service may be governed by that provider’s terms.
Sales made through abbett.com are between you and Abbett Limited. Shopify is not the seller of Abbett products. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their independent content, security, or practices.
16. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy. If these Terms conflict with the Privacy Policy on the collection, use, disclosure, or protection of personal information, the Privacy Policy controls for that issue.
17. Service availability and warranties
We use reasonable care in operating the Services, but do not guarantee that the website will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Website content is provided for general product and shopping information and is not professional financial, investment, appraisal, medical, or legal advice.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties relating solely to website availability or non-essential digital features. We do not exclude any warranty, condition, guarantee, or consumer remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
18. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, wilful misconduct, gross negligence where it cannot be limited, breach of mandatory consumer rights, or any other liability that applicable law does not permit us to limit.
Subject to the paragraph above, Abbett is not liable for indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed, or for business losses arising from a consumer purchase.
For non-consumer claims, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, Abbett’s aggregate liability arising from an order will not exceed the amount paid for the product or service giving rise to the claim. This limitation does not apply where prohibited by law.
19. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by an event outside our reasonable control. We will take reasonable steps to minimize the effect, keep you informed where appropriate, and perform our obligations as soon as reasonably possible. If a material delay continues, you may have cancellation or refund rights under applicable law or our policies.
20. Governing law and disputes
These Terms and non-contractual disputes relating to them are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
The courts of Hong Kong have jurisdiction, but this does not deprive a consumer of mandatory protections or the right to bring a claim in another court where applicable consumer law grants that right.
Please contact help@abbett.com first so we can try to resolve a concern promptly.
21. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Services, our practices, or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date will be revised when changes are posted. Material changes will apply prospectively, and we will provide additional notice where required by law. The Terms in effect when we accept an order generally govern that order unless a change is required by law or you agree otherwise.
22. General provisions
If any provision is unlawful or unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted and the remaining provisions will remain effective. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
You may not assign an accepted order or your rights under it without our consent, except where applicable law permits. We may assign our rights and obligations as part of a genuine business transfer, provided this does not reduce your rights.
These Terms, together with the policies and order-specific terms expressly incorporated into them, form the agreement between you and Abbett concerning the Services and your order.
