Ring Size Guide
Find the correct ring size at home — fast, reliable, and reassuring. This page is written for non-experts and includes three easy measurement methods.
Tips before measuring
Measure at the end of the day when fingers are largest.
Avoid measuring when hands are cold — cold fingers read smaller.
Measure the finger you’ll wear the ring on: left/right and whether it’s for knuckle or band fit.
If your knuckle is much larger than the base of the finger, measure both and choose a size between the two measurements.
If you’re between sizes, choose the larger size for comfort unless the ring is very snug or has a wide band (see wide band note).
Method A — Use a existing ring
Select a ring that already fits the correct finger comfortably.
Place the ring flat on a ruler and measure the inside diameter across the widest point — measure to the nearest 0.1 mm. It is the inside diameter of your ring.
-
Use the inside diameter multiplied by 3.14, then get the inside circumference of your ring. Find the matching size in the conversion table below using the inside circumference (mm).
Tips: Measure each ring three times; small differences are normal. If you only have a ring for a different finger, measure it then compare to the chart but remember different fingers usually have different sizes.
Method B — Paper/ String wrap
Cut a thin strip of paper or use a piece of non-stretchy thread approximately 10 cm long.
Wrap it around the base of the finger where the ring will sit.
Mark the overlap point with a pen.
Lay the strip flat and measure the length between the start and the mark — this is the inner circumference of your finger.
-
Use the conversion table below to find the nearest size by circumference (mm).
Tips: Keep the wrap snug but not tight — it should slide over the knuckle with slight resistance.
Method C — Printable ring sizer
Note: Print a 100% scale PDF ring sizer (no scaling by print software).
Printable Ring Sizer & Conversion Chart. Carefully cut along the outline of the sizer as well as the small slit at the right end of the sizer.
Wrap the sizer around the intended finger with the numbers facing out.
Slide the pointed end of the sizer through the slit.
Move the sizer to the largest part of the finger, this may be the knuckle.
Pull tightly. The sizer must fit snugly to produce an accurate size.

Method D — Printable ring sizer
Printable Ring Sizer & Conversion Chart. Select a ring that properly fits the intended finger.
Place the ring over the circles below, matching the inside size of the ring to the circle nearest in size.
If the ring falls between two sizes, order the larger size.
Millimeters are equivalent to the interior circumference of the corresponding ring size.
Wide band and comfort fit notes
Wide bands (6 mm+) feel tighter than narrow bands. If a ring has a wide band, consider sizing up by about 0.5 size for comfort.
Comfort-fit interiors are slightly rounded inside and may fit a touch looser than flat bands — if you’re between sizes, choose the smaller size for comfort-fit rings.
Knuckle-fit rings (when knuckle is larger)
Measure the circumference at the knuckle and at the base of the finger.
If the knuckle size is larger, select a ring size between the two measurements that will slide over the knuckle but still be snug at the base.
For large differences, many customers choose a ring with a slightly tapered inside, or a ring guard.
Common mistakes & troubleshooting
Printed sizer scaled by printer: always print at 100% / "actual size". Do not use "fit to page".
Using elastic or very wide tape: this will overestimate size — use non-stretch materials.
Measuring in cold weather: causes undersized readings.
Using outer ring diameter: measure the inner diameter only.
