Returns and refunds, clearly explained.

This Refund Policy explains when an Abbett item may be returned or exchanged, how to request authorization, how approved refunds are handled, and which costs may be deducted. It should be read together with our Returns & Warranty page and Shipping Policy.

Your statutory rights remain protected. Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.
01

Return eligibility

You may request a return or exchange for an eligible standard item within 30 calendar days from the carrier delivery date. Eligibility is confirmed only after the item is received and inspected by Abbett.

To qualify, an eligible item must be:

  • Full-price standard jewelry that was not produced to customer-specific requirements.
  • Unworn, unaltered, undamaged, and free from signs of use.
  • Returned with its original tags, packaging, certificates, grading reports, accessories, promotional gifts, and proof of purchase.
  • Sent only after Abbett has provided written return authorization and return instructions.

Submitting a request within 30 days does not guarantee approval. The item type, condition, completeness, timing, and inspection result determine final eligibility.

02

Items not eligible for change-of-mind returns

  • Bespoke, custom-designed, personalized, engraved, resized, or otherwise altered jewelry.
  • Modified standard designs, customer-specific settings, custom-cut stones, specially sourced gemstones, and pieces produced after customer-specific CAD approval.
  • Items marked Final Sale.
  • Worn, damaged, altered, incomplete, or improperly handled items.
  • Loose stones showing setting marks, scratches, chips, damage, or other signs of use.

Sale or discounted items are generally not eligible for a cash refund. An unworn and unaltered sale item may be considered for exchange when it is not marked Final Sale.

Defect protection still applies. A custom, personalized, altered, sale, or otherwise excluded item remains protected when Abbett confirms an incorrect item, a material production error, a manufacturing or workmanship defect, or another right protected by applicable law.
03

How to request a return or exchange

  1. Contact Abbett first. Email help@abbett.com within 30 calendar days of delivery.
  2. Provide your details. Include your full name, order number, the item involved, the reason for the request, and clear photographs or video when an item is incorrect, damaged, or defective.
  3. Wait for written authorization. If the request is provisionally approved, Abbett will provide the authorized return address, packaging and customs instructions, and the deadline for dispatch.
  4. Package and ship securely. Use the original packaging where possible and follow the provided instructions. Retain the tracking receipt until the request is complete.

Do not send jewelry to an address found on an old invoice, website copy, search result, or previous return. Returns sent without authorization or to the wrong address may be delayed, refused, or returned at the sender’s cost.

04

Return shipping, insurance, and non-refundable costs

For an approved non-defective return, the customer is responsible for return shipping, suitable packaging, tracking, and insurance covering the item’s value. The customer bears the risk of loss or damage until the package is delivered to the authorized return address.

The following costs are normally non-refundable where permitted by law:

  • Original, rush, international, and return shipping charges.
  • Shipping insurance, customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, and clearance charges.
  • Engraving, resizing, design, sourcing, grading, certificate replacement, and other non-product service fees.
  • Reasonable costs resulting from missing or damaged packaging, certificates, grading reports, accessories, or promotional gifts.

If an order received complimentary shipping, Abbett may deduct the actual outbound shipping and handling cost from an approved non-defective return where legally permitted. No shipping deduction applies when the return results from a confirmed Abbett production error, covered defect, or incorrect item sent by Abbett.

05

Inspection, refunds, and exchanges

Every returned item is inspected. Abbett may reject a return that does not meet this policy or may deduct reasonable, documented costs where an approved return is incomplete or arrives with avoidable damage, provided the deduction is permitted by law.

After a return is received, inspected, and approved, the eligible refund amount will be issued to the original payment method. Financial institutions and payment providers may require additional time to post the credit.

Approved exchanges are subject to product and material availability. Any price difference and additional shipping or customs costs must be paid before the replacement item is dispatched. A warranty claim after the 30-day return period does not automatically create a right to a refund or exchange; the remedy is determined after inspection under our Returns & Warranty terms.

06

Incorrect, damaged, or defective items

Contact Abbett promptly if an item arrives incorrect, damaged, or with a suspected production or workmanship defect. Keep all packaging and provide clear photographs or video of the item, shipping label, outer package, and internal packaging when relevant.

When Abbett confirms an incorrect item, production error, or covered defect, Abbett will determine an appropriate remedy after inspection and will normally cover reasonable authorized return-shipping costs. The remedy may include repair, replacement, remanufacture, exchange, refund, or another solution required by applicable law.

07

Refused, unclaimed, and unauthorized shipments

Refusing delivery, leaving a package unclaimed, returning it to sender, failing to pay import charges, or sending an item without authorization does not constitute an approved return and does not automatically make an order eligible for refund.

If a shipment is returned because of the recipient’s action or omission, any refund that is otherwise permitted may be reduced by non-recoverable outbound shipping, return shipping, customs, carrier, storage, insurance, and handling costs where legally allowed. Custom and personalized items do not become refundable merely because delivery was refused.

08

Order changes and cancellations

Contact Abbett as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel an order. Cancellation is not guaranteed after materials have been sourced, production has begun, a CAD design has been approved, engraving or resizing has started, or the order has been dispatched.

If cancellation is possible after customer-specific work or sourcing has begun, Abbett will explain any reasonable, non-recoverable costs before confirming the cancellation, subject to applicable law.
